Welcome!
My family has been in the Bitterroot for over fifty years and in Montana for three generations at least. I’ve lived in the Bitterroot exclusively since graduating college.
I’m glad you found my web page. This is a new endeavor for me and I want to go at it full steam ahead. I have used Facebook but I have never blogged before. I have quite the progressive mind and I find politics fascinating, however in the Bitterroot Valley the conservatives and religious nuts run AMOK and I do not and cannot be open or honest. I have seen how violently they react to beliefs and ideas that challenge their own. I do not enjoy hell mongering or death threats directly so I figure that a blog would be the best way to get my thoughts an ideas out there.
I’m independent through and through. I’m a fiscal conservative but a social progressive. I like to look at multiple sides of an issue. I like to research a problem and discuss solutions with anyone who thinks they have one. I want to put an idea out, and see if America bites. I want to DO something. I want to start conversations. That’s what I’m talking about. It’s called action, and the best part is that it has nothing to do with partisanship.
I look forward to seeing the kinds of responses I get and expanding this site into something special, educational as well as entertaining!
There are those, I know, who will say that the liberation of humanity, the freedom of man and mind, is nothing but a dream.
They are right.
It is the American dream.

There may be liberty and justice for all, but there are tax breaks only for some.

Taxes are important. President Bush’s tax proposals leave no rich person behind. Voters [that] approve of President Bush helping the kind of people they wish they were one of.

~Thomas Jefferson“You’re the love of my life and the breath in my prayers. Take my hand and lead me there.. what I need is you here. I can’t forget the taste of your mouth from your lips all the heavens pour out. I can’t forget when we are one. With you alone I am free.”
